Use the generated address

A deployed public app gets a generated address under apps.shippedit.io. You can share it as soon as the release is healthy and its route is active. HTTPS is handled by Shipped.

Choose a friendly subdomain

The current default charge is 5 credits for a successful change. Generated addresses are free. A failed or canceled change releases the reserved address-change credits. Deployment charges are separate.

1. Open the project’s Domains tab and enter the name you want.
2. Review availability and the displayed credit cost. The platform operator can change the price, so use the current quote.
3. Confirm the change and wait for its status to finish.
4. Open the new address and check the app.

Recover a stalled change

If a change stalls, use the recovery or cancellation action shown in Domains. Cancellation restores the previous routing before the project unlocks. An accepted cancellation request may still be running; follow its status until it finishes.

Addresses under the shared wildcard can activate without a new certificate for each name. An app still needs a healthy deployment and an active route.

Use a domain you own

The customer portal currently handles Shipped subdomains. A self-service connection for domains you own is not available yet. Keep your existing DNS records until that workflow provides the exact records and validation status.
